GT offers a family of innovative ingot growth systems – including the DSS™450HP, DSS™650, DSS™450 MonoCast™ and HiCz™ (in development) - to address the broad needs of PV manufacturers in today’s evolving market. The DSS™450HP and DSS™650 produce high quality multicrystalline ingots while MonoCast™ and HiCz™ are designed to enable the industry’s shift in focus to higher cell efficiencies with high quality monocrystalline material.

GT’s DSS furnaces are the solar industry standard, with over 3,100 units shipped worldwide. The DSS architecture provides customers with an upgrade path to higher levels of productivity and performance, which lowers the cost of photovoltaic manufacturing and provides a higher return on investment.

GT HiCz™ systems produce low cost monocrystalline ingots for high-efficiency solar cells. GT will be supplying HiCz™ equipment to the market starting in the second half of CY2012. The HiCz™ tool will be offered for the production of Ga doped ingots (p-type) and P doped ingots (n-type)
